Technicolor View - by Barbara Lee Donovan is a watercolor on wood painting inspired by the MGM movie the Wizard of Oz. The piece replicates the fantasy bold colored world that the film portrayed. In the film Dorothy's house lands after being carried away by a twister from Kansas going from black and white to suddenly full technicolor after she opens the door of her house to the outside world. This work reminds me of that movie, the song somewhere over the rainbow and far and away there's no place like home.
