I took to painting again only doing a group of large 48 x 48 works based off photos I captured from my phone out of my front door in Huntsville, Alabama in November 2019. I came across the photos that I am now choosing to paint for late Summer 2021.
This picture was taken on a Sunday and the sunrise was intensely bright but only where the sun was breaking thought like ball of fire.
The clouds light to dark billowing away from the light, stretching higher than my neck could crane to view. The birth of a new day and I got to see it at that moment before it changed.
