Stairway to Heaven - a 48 x 24 watercolor on wood canvas sealed is a personal photo of mine taken out of my window from my house that I chose to make into a painting under my interpretation of exact color.
The clouds reflective of the sun that had set were vibrant hues of tangerine to reds drifting in long like streamers that stretched and did a zig zag pattern from the Earth up like a winding staircase across the turquoise to faded green sky.
A partial silhouette of a tree from the backyard was all I could capture from the original shot at the time as not to include the neighbors roof. There in the distance was a soft glow of a crescent moon hanging. I have long fell in love with the western sky and often compare the sky to thoughts of Heaven and ties to somewhere beautiful and peaceful.
