"Renewed Faith"- A 24 X 24 (2 panel work) done in a tattoo style drawing on canvas mixed media with oil paint pen for actual drawing.
The work is a ball of roots from a twisted stem of a tree. The shape is that of a heart with magnolia blooms at the base and various insects butterflies and such crawling on or around. The title was created from the standpoint of a individuals place in their own life journey with their own faith. It's renewal becomes a new growth, a new beginning, a new chapter, a second chance. It is bursting forth as a delicate Magnolia bloom does with joy unceasing and is tender like a bud in the Spring. When viewing Renewed Faith remember that in Christianity God is a God of second chances and even someone who was once more devoted can be renewed.
This work was created in 2018 and almost wasn't. A rare and freehand work that was created the same time as Magnolia Roots. The original will be available again to the public at Southern Trends LLC for Dec 1, 2019.
