This work was created using a photo of a corvette stingray I had taken back in 2011 in Texas. It was owned by a man who was taking it to San Antonio to give to his granddaughter for her sweet sixteen birthday celebration. Nice grandpa huh?
The butterflies are real and over 30 years old. I collected them as a child and had kept them protected in a special box over the years.
I decided to incorporate the photo of the stingray and the butterflies together because they both can fly. The image make for a modern and contemporary look and would look great as a statement piece to your home or office.
