"Gentle Direction"- Bio
An abstract coastal landscape painting using watercolors and acrylic on cotton canvas then sealed. The canvas is a 40x30 size and depicts copper colored reeds pointing in an upward direction from out of the sand towards the slightly turquoise water, and then a sky that includes 5 shades of blue.
The reeds stand firm depending on breeze, storm or calm. They always sway but are never broken. This painting is a reminder to always look up and continue going in the right direction that God has planned for us. Like the reeds we bend, but with God we are never broken. He guides us daily with gentle direction.
The Original was donated for auction to benefit The American Cancer Society Birmingham Alabama for August 2022 Summer Soiree.
